Now there are lots of companies out there that will tell you the more backlinks you have the better your rankings your website will get.

This is correct and not so correct and here’s what I want you to understand.

If your site has 10,000 backlinks pointing back to your site and those backlinks are poor in Domain Authority you not going to do well with the search engines.

The reason why is a few years ago companies were telling website owners that the more backlinks they had the higher the rankings they would get and yes that was correct.

Now the search engines caught on to this tactic and figured out that you as the website owner was getting backlinks but not getting them naturally and they started to ban sites for using these services and they call them Black Hat Services.

So if any company tells you that they can deliver you thousands of backlinks to your site to help your rankings which they can get you the backlinks but they are not telling you it will hurt your rankings and may even get you banned for life with companies like Google for example.

If it was me first starting out, I would concentrate on making the site secure and getting my title tags, meta tags and keyword tags done first.

Then get as much content on my blog pages as possible but make sure again its related content to your site for the blog posts.

What I mean there is when you create a blog post or content stick right to the point of the topic or title of the post or article.

If you wander off and you talking about insurance services and start talking about vacations in your content forget about rankings won’t happen.
